Vision and Values

Our Vision

To create a safe, caring and aspirational learning community, inspired by our Christian values, where we thrive through challenge, fun, friendship and belonging, to be the best we can be.

This is underpinned by the Parable of the Lost Sheep:

Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them.  Does he not leave the ninety-nine sheep and go find the one sheep until he finds it?  And when he finds it, he is so excited he carries the sheep all the way home.  Then he phones all his friends and neighbours and has a party to celebrate the sheep that was found.

Our Values

At Beckington and Mells Church First School, our values are the cornerstone of our communities. They guide us in our learning, our relationships, and our growth throughout the school year. Each term, we focus on a specific value to help our students develop into well-rounded, compassionate, and resilient individuals. Always with the focus to ‘be the best we can be.’

We have six core values and we focus on one each term.  They are:
